A label to ensure the traceability of your investment!

The Label French Origin Guaranteed ® was set up in June 2010 further to the publication of the report written by the Deputy Mayor Yves JÉGO on the France brand. It is the result from a joint representation of political and economic operators who wish to work together on promoting "Producing in France" and the valorization of industrial and craftmanship know-how. Like major names of the French industry, Peugeot, Saint-Gobain Weber or Essilor, our company was also granted in March 2014 this label certified by the office VERITAS under the no. BVCert. 6074066

Purpose of this label

The association ProFrance promoting the Label French Origin Guaranteed ® is composed of company managers supporting this action. Its purpose is to give clear and accurate information to the consumer about the French origin of the products and promote the companies manufacturing in France. The Label French Origin ® is different from other marks such as « Made in France », « Designed in France », « Manufactured in France »… which are self-declaratory and without control.

Guarantees

French Origin Guaranteed ® is the only label to certify the French origin of a product. It is transversal (all sectors included) and unquestionable (the certification, compulsary, is made by an independent certifying body). It guarantees the consumers the traceability of the product by providing a clear and objective indication of origin. The candidate company must comply with very accurate specifications to get the label.

Selection criteria

Companies must comply with two cumulative criteria to obtain the certification mark

• Between 50% and 100% of the unit cost price is French
• The last substential transformation of the product took place in France

Procedures and controls

• The company prepares a complete file of information about the related products and their production process.
• The file is evaluated by the certifying organization.
• If the result of the study is positive, the label is granted.
• Within a period of 6 months, a verification audit validates the given information.
• On presentation of the technical review, the decision of certification is confirmed.
• An annual audit is foreseen in order to ensure that the conformity still is maintained.
